For the past two years, Landrum United Methodist Church has transformed the front lawn into a Pumkin Patch for the two weeks preceding Halloween. Over 800 large pumpkins as well as countless small pumkins, gourds, and indian corn are available for sale by the LUMC Youth. The Patch is open daily and is staffed by both adults and youth after school.
Funds raised by the Pumpkin Patch go to the Youth Program with a focus on local missions work. This is a time for the entire congregation to get together and particapate in a really fun time. The animals at Holywild really enjoy the left overs as can be seen above - and it a blast for the youth also.
