The United Methodist Men of LUMC have a breakfast meeting once each month on the third Sunday Morning. The breakfast starts at 8:00 am and concludes in time for members to attend the 9:00 am Worship Service.
Activities that the UMM are involved in include:
- Gathering and splitting firewood for the needy in the Landrum area
- Hosting a hot dog lunch during the Harvest Sale every Autumn with proceeds going to LUMC Outreach Ministries
- Maintaining and improving the playground used by the children of LUMC
- Financially support our Scout program and the Salkehatchie Summer Mission trip.
- Provide Shrove Tuesday Sacrificial Meal
- Work projects for community services such as Operation Hope
The UMM also has a Helping Hands ministry for members who are unable to perform simple tasks around their home. A form has been developed that explains the program and that can be used to request assistant from members of the LUMC United Methodist Men. The form can be downloaded from this site and provided to the office or those listed on the form may be called to discuss your needs.
